Let Us Do Good

Building a Brighter Future,

One Home at a Time

At Flooring America, caring for our community isn’t just a promise—it’s at the heart of everything we do. Through our partnership with Tunnel to Towers, we help fund and install high-quality, accessible flooring in mortgage-free homes built for injured veterans and families of fallen first responders. These homes feature thoughtful touches, such as wheelchair-friendly surfaces, slip-resistant flooring, and durable materials that restore independence and improve quality of life for recipients.

Stephen's Story

Stephen Gerard Siller, the youngest of seven, lost both parents by age ten but was lovingly raised by his siblings. He became a dedicated firefighter with Brooklyn’s Squad 1 and a devoted husband and father of five. On September 11, 2001, after his shift, Stephen ran through the closed Brooklyn Battery Tunnel with 60 pounds of gear to the Twin Towers, where he heroically gave his life saving others. Guided by St. Francis of Assisi’s words, “While we have time, let us do good,” Stephen’s sacrifice inspires us to make a difference.
